Each step Bella took down to the falls was one step closer to being one with nature. It was just after dusk. She knew this path well. She used to spend countless hours out here when she was a little girl. After her father passed away she found comfort in spending time with nature. It connected her to her father since he used to do the same. Being outside was one of the things Bella loved to do. She always felt safe outside. Despite the dangers that really lurked in these wood near the falls, she knew he would keep her safe.
She was missing her boyfriend right about now but he was at work and she didn't dare visit him. Usually they would have been together right about now. But they weren't. They had been together for a long time and were now talking marriage. Bella smiled at the thought of being a wife. She wanted to be just like her mother. As she got to the falls she sat down on a rock and took her shoes off, slipping her feet in the cold water. The water reminded her so much of her father. Robert Vassey had been such a wonderful man. Caring, kind and loving. It was hard to go on without him, but she'd been doing it for years. Her mother and her sisters was what kept her going.
